Statements – IV

The spirit is a state of poise. And whenever you are in a state of poise, no matter what’s going on around you, you are in the spiritual state.

You will be alone when you find the secret of life.

You will be alone when you find the secret of death.

There is only one I in the universe and that is the I in the body listening to this message. For only that I knows whether you are lying when you say, ‘I love you’.

~

While you ever have to quote another, you do not know the truth.

~

Do not look for more than what is, or you will find it - and lose yourself.

~

Life is for me to be the being that I am; and not the person I am not.

Living is for me to be the person I am not; until I can be the being that I am.

~

Letting questions be, until answered by revelation, is far more effective than trying to find answers with the mind.

~

I don’t think

When I look to see what’s arising, it’s like looking into a room to see what’s there. I’m not thinking. Looking is not thinking. Thinking makes my mind discursive. Looking makes it straight.

~

The Testing

One of the most important discoveries in my spiritual life was this: every deep realisation of individual consciousness has to be lived out in time in appropriately challenging circumstances.

The circumstances are determined by the realisation and the living life up to that time. I also saw that the deeper the realisation of the consciousness of God, the longer the testing period is likely to be.

Cheat on love and you cheat yourself.

~

Where love is, the world is not.

Where love is, no thorns and thistles grow.

When you are truly loved you are back in Eden.

~

Woman is love.

Man is love with something to do.

~

You cannot choose love as you would choose a bride or a lover. Love chooses you.

~

As air is the medium of sound, so love is the medium of truth.

~

Love is the point of the pyramid of existence.

~

All is energy and there is no energy higher than right love, which has no object.

~

No religion knows the truth. Only he or she who lives it knows.

~

Die before you die. Or you will be stuck with yourself once again. I have found death. But as the hunter, not the hunted.

~

I give you nothing but yourself.

~

Liberation or spiritual freedom is not gained by trying to be like everyone else. Liberation is to have the will, the power, the simplicity to be what you are from moment to moment, without pretence and without considering what you or others think you should be or should not be. Naked of being anything you must stand, and stand alone.

~

Worry is the penalty for imagining that thinking is harmless.

~

Stillness pervades everything that moves.

~

Joy

You don’t have to search for it, strive for it or make it. It’s always there. It’s like the sun always shining above the shadow of the earth. Stop living in your own shadow, and the sun, the joy, immediately shines.

~

I am nothing in particular. I am neither greater nor more special than you. But somehow or other I am appointed, or commissioned, to go into these deep levels of perception and then come back out into existence and say: ‘This is how it is. I have seen this’. But I am only a surrogate for you.

SEX is excitement, seeks satisfaction and soon loses interest – selfishness.

MAKING LOVE is passionate, fulfilling and does not look for an end – selflessness.

Everything I say is either true or false. There is no in-between. But please do not believe me. Test each statement in your own experience. Onlly in that way can you ever know the truth.

Nothing but the truth.

You cannot live the divine life and compromise. Truth is black and white. There’s no grey in it; no in-between. You know what you want and you are willing to die for it.

To live the truth you need a mirror. You need to see life as it is - not as others tell you it should be, or as you wish it were.

I talk of life and love as it is. Like any real mirror, I don’t tell you what to do. When you see for yourself, you know what to do.

~

Every truth realised, and any knowledge of a spiritual nature that anyone has or professes to have, is tested and grounded in the events and circumstances of the ongoing life. This creates the troubling (testing) situations.

All spiritual knowledge, whether great or small, provides a certain detachment from events. This means not identifying with the pressure of what is happening. Thus, according to the depth of our spiritual knowledge, we are troubled less and suffer less.
