Statements – II

Shed every notion about yourself. Shed every belief. Shed every notion about love. Shed it all, as quickly as possible. Go back to being innocent. Then there’s no need to know anything; you will be informed of anything you need to know.

What I have made in my ignorance, I must face in my consciousness. That’s justice, isn’t it? It is a long process of dying – to my self, to my false notions, to my ignorance. But, please don’t lose heart. Don’t judge yourself.

~

We mustn’t judge the way things are. The way things are is the way things are.

~

Woman is 100% love. Man is 90% love with ten percent something to do.

~

Love needs no thought. Any thought at all about love and you have polluted it. For in love’s communication there is no thought.

~

There is no person in love. For love seeks nothing for itself. Your person wants something for itself. The love you are seeks nothing for itself - because it has no self.

~

Everything has served you. No matter what anybody has done to you, it has served you. And it has served you right.

~

Enlightenment does not wake up with a moody on!

~

I shall take you apart in your own perception and put you together again. I shall make you whole. This is the great yoga, the great union.

~

I’m not telling you what to do. I’m asking you: Is it true, what I’m saying?

~

There is no other life. There’s this life. This is where it’s done – here now. There’s no tomorrow. It’s here now. Am I doing it now? - That is what it is to be creative, courageous, valiant.

~

A feeling is an interpretation of the fact. Loneliness is an interpretation of aloneness.

~

Don’t get frustrated about life. Don’t keep trying. Do your best. If you do your best, you don’t have to try.

~

Truth is quick, simple,  straightforward and instantly recognisable. Contrary to popular belief, it does not create, build, persuade or involve. It dissolves the only things that real knowledge can - doubt and argument.

~

It is an aberration of the mind to imagine that in the divine life circumstances have to work out to the satisfaction of reason. Life itself, which is totally divine, consists mainly of circumstances that seldom work out to anyone’s satisfaction.

~

Everyone I teach is endeavouring to rid themselves of the limiting human condition. They want to BE. They want to return to what somehow they know they are, and have always been, under the limitation.

~

No memory: No problem.

~

The self: Always stumbling across the great desert, or waste of time, where there are very few oases, feeling dry and parched, wondering what to do next, and always looking to the horizon, hoping that things are going to get better.

~

Two keys to being responsible: I must not judge myself and I must do what I know to be right and not avoid it.

~

All emotion is past. Joy is now.

~

The boy or the girl that you were has not disappeared. The tenderness, the innocence, the openness to life, the beauty of the senses felt by the boy or girl is still there. It never gets older. It’s always there. That’s ‘me’ - the tenderest, sweetest place, which is there now.

~

To love is to give, not to demand.

~

In a conscious life the truth destroys whatever we imagine.

~

There is only one ‘me’. And it is the same intimate presence of being that each one refers to as 'me’ - not my self, not my unhappiness, not the world in me, but the living reality of every body.

~

All unhappiness on earth is due to not being practical in fact and truth.

~

You can grow in self. And you can grow in understanding. But you cannot grow in spirit.

~

I will not make a problem of my life or my love.

~

Do You Hear Me?

Keep listening … until you hear.​

Listening is quite an art. Everybody’s hearing what they want to hear. But few are listening.

To listen, you must be still. Give up hearing through what you already know. Listen for the new.

~

"We try to avoid old pain and frequently won’t admit that a situation or partnership is making us unhappy - even though it’s obvious to others around us that it is."

~

You don’t have to try to do anything. You just do it. And do your best. Then success or failure have no meaning. You can’t do any more than your best, can you?

~

Enlightenment is now. How can I teach you ‘now’? Can I teach you water? Can I teach you air? Why can’t you be now? Why does it escape you? - Because you are not being honest. The only thing I can teach you is how to be honest … I show you how to be honest with yourself and your life. For honesty is the only way to freedom.

~

Unless each day you speak first of love, who do you think you’re fooling with your big job, big name, independence or aloofness to the pangs and joys of love? Where love is, the world is not. When you are truly loved you are back in Eden.

~

You’ve got emotion? Give it up. Surrender it. Give it up to God and it becomes love. If you don’t know of any God, then give it to the divine. If you don’t know the divine, give it the most worthy thing in the world. Offer it up. It’s an offering. You’re offering your self. What else can you offer?

~

Don’t ask silly questions about things that do not exist. Stay with what exists - with what is. It is concerning yourself with negative things that do not exist, that brings them about.

~

Money is the currency of the world - the world of heartbreak and disappointment. Love is the currency of fulfilment.

~

Woman, you are my sheer delight, my love. You are the earth waiting for me to be man enough to love you. You are the measure of my love, the seasons of my life. As I am ageless, you are timeless.

~

Something has to die for something to survive. If you die to your unhappiness, something good arises. You make the great sacrifice of your self.

~

I have seen what virtue is and it is the death of me.

~

The spiritual life is not just reading about truth or listening to it. It’s about living it. For there’s no truth, no truth on earth, unless you live it.

~

There is no Higher Self. There is only selfish, ignorant, sorrowful self, which I must rid the earth of in myself - and so discover being.

~

Love will grow by acknowledgment.

~

Love knows that love is all.

~

One Love

Love is the sense behind all the senses. Love is the sense within. Love unites the sense of body. For what is the body you know and name but a partial product of partial sensing? My body is love. My love - my body - is always here now. And in my body is everything that I love or have ever loved. One love, not many: many aspects joined by one love.

~

I know my love. I do not remember it.

~

Emotion is anything that moves us to remember. Love does not need to remember. Love is now. How can ‘now’ be remembered? There is no certainty in memory or in the last second. Only now is certain. And only now is love known and realised.

~

Wisdom is knowing what you know. Truth is the realisation of what you know.

~

In divine or real love the union is not only of the man and the woman, and their two bodies, but of each of them within their own bodies.

~

Only through hearing the truth from the Master without, do you know that you know it - and so come to realise the master within.

~

Sensational!

We hear all the newspapers and the advertisements: ‘This is sensational!’ A sensational party. A sensational photograph. What is sensational?

Feel your body. I am sensational. Feel it? I am the sensation: the sensation of well-being and love and goodness and truth inside my body. That’s the only sensation.

~

The Stillness of Love

Transcendental truth comes through love. This love is personified by stillness in an individual man or woman. Not a stillness that is silent and empty, but a stillness that is extremely active, extremely present, oscillating at such speed that it is absolutely still.

~

Meditation is a device to bring you to a state of stillness so swift that it is the medium of love, sheer love, as you, the individual.

~

You can’t work out the truth. You can try to work out all the rest of the things in your life but you can’t try to work out the truth. It’s already true. So it doesn’t have to be worked out.

~

Remember: Stillness is the way. Whenever you are in confusion, stillness is the way out. If you take nothing else, take those four words: Stillness is the way.

~

The mind doesn’t know the truth. There is no mind on earth that can stand in front of the truth. It can bluster and it can pretend, but it can’t stand against the truth.
