Face It
From the Tamborine Talk, July 1989
When you’re really facing the truth of yourself, when you are focused on the reality of your life now, in that body, there are no problems. Even if your heart is breaking, it’s alright. It’s not a problem. You can handle it. There are indeed difficult situations and events to be resolved. That’s living, isn’t it? But the resolution and the solution of difficult situations and events is by taking action. Only action is real.
If you’ve got a difficult situation and you can’t take action to solve it, there’s no problem. Because if you can’t take action, you can’t do anything, can you? So you let it be for now, this moment. No problem.
If you can take action, there’s still no problem, because in the taking of action you get rid of the problem. You become part of the action of the possible solution, in one way or another.
Do you have a problem now? I don’t believe it. Take some action. It’s your inaction that’s making the problem - and you’re thinking about it. Thinking is not acting.
