Grateful Love
Two Keynotes from The Master Session 2000.
I AM GRATEFUL
I love God and I am grateful. I am grateful for the day. I am grateful for my breath. I’m grateful, but not only for what I have. I am grateful that I am able to be grateful.
To the degree that you are able to be grateful to God, or to that which has no name - whatever it is - you’re going to be more intelligent. You’ll have the gift of God’s wisdom or clarity, because there’s no clarity equal to ‘it’ - that Nothing.
But you must acknowledge it. I mean walk around and talk to it, inside you: 'Thank you. Thank you … God, God, God’ - or whatever you like to call it - 'It, It, It or Love, Love, Love. I love you. I love you.’
No need for anyone to hear you … You can do it silently but it’s good to do it verbally because the self has got to hear it - has got to hear the devotion. The self says, 'Of course I love God, of course I do’ … I don’t want to hear your 'of course’s’. I want you to do it.
I JUST LOVE IT
There is nothing more beautiful than to love - to just love without getting. That’s the most beautiful thing: To love without receiving.
But in our human nature we tend to expect something in return, to be loved back. That’s the deal here … I pay my money: I get something in return. Right?
But I am talking of a love in which there is no return except the sheer beauty of being able to love. I just love! That’s all. And in that love I am provided with everything. It doesn’t matter who I am - if I can love enough, everything’s provided for me. That’s the truth.
