Pure Life

Edited from the Gold Coast Talk June 1993

Life itself is the intelligence behind the appearance of all sensory life. Life itself has to know what it’s doing, because it determines the moment my body is born and the moment my body dies. Nothing else does. There are no accidents. Life runs it all.

In pure life, which you can feel rising at any moment, there is no division, no separation, nothing but union. In the divided figures appearing as you and me, man and woman, there is a natural movement to have union. And if it were left to the body alone to make love, the body would always make love at precisely the right time.

The moment of my death, I tell you, is absolutely right. That’s the truth. Why not be ready to die now and have nothing more to do, this very moment? I ask you: Why not die now and have nothing more to do?

Nothing arising is life itself - that which has no attributes and cannot be described by any mind or any scientist. It can only be called ‘nothing’. And it’s me. There’s no distinction, no separation from me who am nothing. Nothing arising …That can be described as 'the void’, an emptied-ness, emptied of my self. Pure life I am.
